1. Concept
Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT), NB-IoT is built on a cellular network and consumes only about 180KHz of bandwidth. Using the license frequency band, it can be deployed in three ways: in-band, guard band, or independent carrier. Coexist with existing networks. It can be directly deployed on the GSM network, UMTS network or LTE network to reduce deployment costs and achieve smooth upgrades.
